Wraith Falls is a 100 foot cascade of Lupine Creek that runs down a smooth rock face in wispy white threads. The best time to view Wraith Falls is undoubtedly in the spring when the snow melt is high.
Find this hike five miles east of Mammoth Hot Springs. The hike itself is a short and easy walk on a well-developed trail through grassy marshland, with a quick stair climb to reach the falls viewing platform. Hikers are reminded to not venture off-trail as Wraith Falls is located in the Blacktail Bear Management Area.
Wraith Falls is a quick sight to see during a spring time visit to Yellowstone.
